    Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) style description: A harmonious blend of mead and beer, with the distinctive characteristics of both. A wide range of results are possible, depending on the base style of beer, variety of honey and overall sweetness and strength. Beer flavors tend to somewhat mask typical honey flavors found in other meads.

  • Mint and Cucumber Sour 19L
    Cucumber adds a bright cucumber/green melon flavour to this Berliner Weisse. And the addition of mint adds a freshness that works so well.
    This beer works amazingly when paired with a roast lamb dish. The mint and cucumber sour reminds me of fresh home made mint sauce. And a sour beer always works to cut through the fat of roast meat. It’s a winner.

  • Black Doris Creme Sour - 19L
    This recipe was provided by Chris Nelson and has been made in several versions with different fruit in each - and all have turned out great.
    Using Philly Sour yeast removes the need to kettle sour and there is no need to add Lacto post ferment. Enjoy!

    With the change in seasons heading into autumn, Amber Ales are a welcome change. A little sweeter in malt character but still having come lovely citrus and tropical fruit hop taste and aroma.
