Changes to Grains

With so many grains its been hard to find the best way to make it easy to find what you are looking for.

We had the grains sorted into New Zealand and Overseas as the two main categories. But this caused confusion when we were out of stock of one item but had a suitable alternative in the other category. For example, if we sold out of NZ Gladfields Medium Crystal we also had UK medium crystal available in the other category in stock, and vice versa.

So we have changed our main grain categories to make it easier to see the item you are looking for.  We now have 4 different categories to search.  Base Malts, Barley Adjuncts, Rolled and Flaked Adjuncts, and lastly 'Wheat, Rye, Corn, Oat and Maize'

Even this wont be perfect.  For example Vienna could be a Barley Adjunct, but it could also be a Base Malt.  So we have loaded items like this in multiple categories so the can appear in the right sections. They are loaded as a single item on our system, but are attached to multiple cateories in your searches.

So you should find the overall affect of this changes make it:

1.  Easier to find the item you are looking for

2.  Less 'Clicks' to find thei item

3.  Much easier to select the right items when loading your ingredients to buy.
