Beer Recipes: July 2021

  • Mint and Cucumber Sour 19L
Cucumber adds a bright cucumber/green melon flavour to this Berliner Weisse. And the addition of mint adds a freshness that works so well.
This beer works amazingly when paired with a roast lamb dish. The mint and cucumber sour reminds me of fresh home made mint sauce. And a sour beer always works to cut through the fat of roast meat. It’s a winner.

  • Black Doris Creme Sour - 19L
This recipe was provided by Chris Nelson and has been made in several versions with different fruit in each - and all have turned out great.
Using Philly Sour yeast removes the need to kettle sour and there is no need to add Lacto post ferment. Enjoy!

  • Grandads Tractor Old Ale
Old Ales and stronger Aged Ales are aged Ales that have a unique character blending malt dried fruit and alcohol. The aroma is malty, sweet with hints of fruity esters. Dried caramel, nut, toffee, blend with the warmth of the alcohol.
